The two friends share memories of past adventures and playfully challenge each other to feats of strength. Danion arrives unexpectedly and begs HerculesΓÇÖ help in rescuing the people taken prisoner by the monster. Hercules is reluctant to leave his family, but his wife Deianeira urges him to go, recognizing that it is not in her husbandΓÇÖs nature to stand idly by in such a desperate situation.
